We also pulled a handcart together.
And Holden is standing next to a wagon wheel where we learned how the pioneers counted each turn of the wheel so that those following them would know how long it would take between stopping posts where they would be able to replenish their supplies.
The temple at Winter Quarters is very beautiful. The flowers on the grounds seem to grow effortlessly and overflow their flower beds and there are several beautiful blue and green stained glass windows.

Nicole and Holden Happy Anniversary!
One year went really fast. Now it's time for babies .Ha ha
Love The Bow Family.
What great pictures from your trip out East. Too bad there isn't one of ME! :) I wish I would have taken one of you guys while you were here. I'll just have to steal one from your blog!
The pioneers probably weren't smiling like that while they pulled, nor standing so erect. It's called empathy, guys.
I live weeks at a time miserable, tired and unbathed just to see what it's like.
Nicole + Holden, Happy Late Anniversary! You guys look like you're having more fun than a fat kid eating cake. Your trip to Europe is BEAUTIFUL! And it makes me pea-green with envy. Needless to say, I'm very put out that you guys practically live in our backyard now that we've left GA! The absurdity! Of course, you could always make the 13 hr drive in the blistering cold up here to Wisconsin if you get bored. :) We have fields and fields of corn and soybeans too! Just thought I'd put out the invitation in case you have a 4-wheel drive...we don't. I feel that since we're at least both in the east now, we should migrate towards one another! What city are you living in in North or South Carolina? Well, I LOVE your blog! Keep it coming!
Thanks Bow family - we'll look into the baby thing, looks fun (sometimes!) :)
Carrie & Tan - you're so right, very good of you to set the smelly example for us all.
Almira - thanks, yes, the irony of it! We would love to venture to WI. How are you liking it? I'll have to check your blog today too. We are in Chapel Hill North Carolina. It's pretty great.
